For those of you who didn't know, the McDonald's Big Mac was invented by Jim Delligatti and had it's debut in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in 1967. The Big Mac celebrated it's 40th birthday last year:

http://www.bigmacmuseum.comI think Jim may have actually "invented" it elsewhere, he had several McDonald's franchise stores at the time around Pittsburgh, but most references on the Internet seem to imply it was served at the Uniontown restaurant first.
