I am looking to find information about my Grandmother.
She was one of five children, her father worked in the Coal mine.
He died soon after she was born, and the mother couldn't take care
of the children she had no money, so the church helped her take the
children to an orphanage until she could come back for them. This was
in the year 1913 or 1914 as that is the year my grandmother has listed
as her birth year. The story is she was sick at the orphanage and the nuns
gave her to Mr. & Mrs. Bean. Who then took her to Watertown N.Y. and then
Later moved to Cleveland, Ohio
My grandmothers name is Julia Ann Bean, and she married Kermit Nicholas Kreiling.
Andrew and Rose Bean where her adopted parents. But she wasn't legally adopted.
I was told her mother got remarried and came looking for her children and the baby
was gone. They told her who they gave her to, but she had no success in finding her.
She even went to Watertown to get her back. Please if anyone has a story like this
in there family, let me know or the names of orphanages. Also I remember my
grandmother hired a private detective to look up her family and he had some information
but my mother doesn't remember where or what happened to it. I remember the family
name began with and M and it seemed like a Polish name.
