I don't know much about him, but I knew a Gary Brownfield many many years ago, and he is a really good guy, I bet this is him. I need to go back in the yearbook because I can't really remember what he looked like, my age is catching up with me.
But, if it's the same guy, I would also stand behind his character.
It's a shame that public service like this doesn't pay more. Being a cop means you meet almost exclusively bad people. Good decent people are never visited by the police. Makes you a hated person, and that's a shame. And, you deal with mostly low-lifes all day long.
