GOOD IDEA!!!!
Look we need more Peace Officers. And the Sheriff is an ELECTED Office...that means the CITIZENS would have DEMOCRATIC Control over how its statues and laws are enforced. We the people would have more direct control.....so those Politicians that BREAK THE LAWS by selling our people down the river with its "NAFTA-esque" shenanigans.....can expect to be thrown into JAIL.
That is.... if ENOUGH people wake up to and realize what they are losing.
To boost crime-fighting efforts, state Rep. Timothy Mahoney, D-South Union Twp., plans to introduce legislation to restore law enforcements powers for sheriffs and their deputies.
